Parliamentary Budget Office visited the Kingdom of the Netherlands

 

On 3-7 April, the Parliamentary Budge Office (PBO) of Georgia visited the Hague, Netherlands within the EU Twinning project "Strengthening Parliamentary Oversight in Public Finances" being implemented by the Parliament of Georgia and the National Academy for Finance and Economics of the Netherlands.

The staff of the PBO visited all important Dutch agencies working on public financial management in the Netherlands, namely: National Academy for Finance and Economics, House of Representatives (the Dutch Parliament), Netherlands Bureau for Economic Policy Analysis (CPB), the Council of State, Netherlands Court of Audit, Statistics Netherlands (CBS).

Meetings were held with the department and division heads and senior staff members of the above-mentioned agencies, field experts and other high-ranking officials.

The representatives of both countries shared information regarding the role, structure, functions, activities and achievements of their agencies. The parties engaged in lively discussions on relevant issues and exchanged their expertise and experience.

The representatives of the Dutch agencies expressed great interest, respect and admiration for the accomplishments and experience of the PBO Georgia, and expressed their willingness for further cooperation.
